The format of the Pay Less Little 500 is unique
to Sprint Car racing. The starting grid is
comprised of 33 cars in 11 rows of three,
charging to the green flag. Two mandatory pits
stops are required during the challenging
500-lap event that always showcases compelling
race strageties. Billed as one of the most
entertaining races in auto racing, the Pay Less
Little 500 on the high-banked quarter-mile oval
is crown jewel of pavement sprint car racing.
Deuces were wild at the 64th running of the Pay
Less Little 500 as Brian Tyler recorded his
second win and brought team owner Larry Contos
win number two at Anderson Speedway.
Tyler took the lead on lap 342 and led the final
158 circuits winning by one lap over rookie of
the year Billy Wease. Third was Brian Gerster
after starting 29th. Chet Fillip and Aaron
Pierce rounded out the top five
