Pay Less Little 500 Entry Form Released, Gerster Files First Entry

Anderson, Ind. (Feb. 23, 2013) - Anderson Speedway has released the entry form for the 65th Pay Less Little 500 on Saturday, May 25. The 2013 event will award $25,000 to the winner and pays $2,000 to start the legendary event. Brian Gerster filed the first entry. Last year, Gerster finished a career best third in the Pay Less Little 500.

The format of the Pay Less Little 500 is unique to Sprint Car racing. The starting grid is comprised of 33 cars in 11 rows of three, charging to the green flag. Two mandatory pits stops are required during the challenging 500-lap event that always showcases compelling race strageties. Billed as one of the most entertaining races in auto racing, the Pay Less Little 500 on the high-banked quarter-mile oval is crown jewel of pavement sprint car racing.

Deuces were wild at the 64th running of the Pay Less Little 500 as Brian Tyler recorded his second win and brought team owner Larry Contos win number two at Anderson Speedway.

Tyler took the lead on lap 342 and led the final 158 circuits winning by one lap over rookie of the year Billy Wease. Third was Brian Gerster after starting 29th. Chet Fillip and Aaron Pierce rounded out the top five
